Open Studio with Garth Jergenson --Brief Synopsis:

A Scott Rogers Collaborative project with Joi Arcand, Clark Ferguson, and Karen polowich. 2008.

During a Scott Rogers residency at Saskatoon’s Church Basement Residency space, Scott, myself, Joi Arcand, and Karen Polowich set up the cable access television program Open Space with Garth Jergenson.  The show’s premis is that one Garth Jergenson, professional broadcaster, takes a peak into the studios of  artists from all stripes:  Acrylic and watercolors.  However, as Garth is forced to interview the young conceptual ‘relational aesthetics’ art practitioner Scott Rogers, his patience for the arts grows thin.  And after accidentily stepping on one of the the young artists ‘balanced mirror perspective creations’, the young artist struggles to articulate his practice to the live studio audience.  Open Studio is a comedic bridge for the art world and the every person.
