Swan Dive --brief description 2002

Swan Dive is a performance interested in extending the moment of expectation within a spectacle.  By incorporating a drum roll and placing plaster swans on a hand-made, ultra-slow moving kinetic trolley, the audience experiences the hyper-elongated sensation of anticipation. After approximately five minutes of the swan slowly edging towards the end of the platform and the smashed remains of swans from previous performances, the swan inevitably and disappointingly crashes, as expected.  The audience is left merely with the physical strains of expectation experienced within the spectacle.
